At this Tumblr you’ll find a rough and tumble catalogue of all the writing–haphazard, often unedited, weird and mostly juvenile– that I’ve done over the years about food. It gathers passages from plays, old blog-type posts, over-long captions to Facebook foodpic-shares.
I have grand ambitions of one day writing a cookbook. Not just a cookbook but a book with recipes, rumination, essays and gardening tips meshed into one. That’s the kind of cookbook I’ve always wanted to read. Not exclusively for directions on how to prepare meals as much as a tonic pick-me-up; variously poetry, comedy, academia and Julia Child.
